November 11th 2009 was the day 3 young lives came to an abrupt end in a tragic car accident. That early morning 4 cyclists were hit by a car, 3 of them ( Emilie, Laetitia and Lauren) didn’t survive the crash. In commemoration of their daughter, sister and friend the family and loved – ones of Emilie Leus decided to start a foundation carrying her name, to keep putting the message across that drinking and driving is a deadly combination with possible catastrophic consequences.

It won’t bring Emilie back but at least her passing away will not have been completely useless.

In order to support this wonderful initiative Vanmoof and 5 belgian artists have teamed up in the Artframes - project.

Gilliom, Philip Paquet, Tom Schamp, Denis Meyers and Herr Seele have accepted the challenge of showing their creativeness on a frame as their canvas… and turned aluminium frames into unique pieces of art.

These 5 bike – wonders will now be sold to support the Emilie Leus foundation. Every bicycle is one of a kind and carries the artists’ signature. The bicycles will be on display at several locations and will be sold to the highest bidder.
